The Lady in Red

May 3, 2009 – 6:10 am

The 2009 Red Dress Party, which was, once again, a fun time filled with tons of people-watching, yummy drinks, and dancing. This year’s theme was “Red Eye,” as in taking a red-eye flight. From the names of the drinks to the directional signs throughout the space, it felt as if I had been transported to the most awesome airport ever.

This year, I made sure to make a beeline to the body art station and I’m glad I did. The end result was gorgeous and there were many people who let me know it, too. Many thanks to all those who gave my fragile ego a boost.

If all flight attendants looked as fabulous as this, I’d fly even more than I currently do:

Of course, I couldn’t let the night pass without getting a photo with one of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence:

I usually see Storm Large a couple times a year. And so far this year, it’s happened within the span of a few days. Earlier in the week, I joined friends to see her amazing show, “Crazy Enough.” Then, last night, she performed with The Balls at the Red Dress Party.
